2023-24 RANDOLPH A. FOSTER SEIZE THE MUSIC SERIES

The 2022-23 season was the most challenging season in our 17-year history, with the tragic loss of our co-founder and 1st violinist Charles Wetherbee to cancer. It was Chas’ and all of our collective wishes to continue to seize the music as a quartet, so CDSQ is now moving forward in all directions. Our 2023-24 season will include new voices who will join us to bring the finest quartet collaborations to our Columbus audiences.

An American Story – Available On-Demand

Carpe Diem String Quartet’s An American Story, an animated, interactive musical story about ancestry and immigration, is now available online for free on-demand viewing. An American Story features four separate works, all composed and performed by Carpe Diem String Quartet. Each member of the quartet has written an original work that supports and describes a storyline that involves one of our ancestors, and how they came to immigrate to America. Each story is supported by beautiful animations by Janet Antich.

During the work, you’re presented with choice points…moments where you choose what happens next. Depending on the choices made, the performance will go one way or another – each viewing/listening experience is unique.
